All Levels Yoga:

Classes designed for a wide range of ability levels. Good for nearly everyone, even beginners. These classes takes into consideration the needs and wants of the students who are in each class.

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga:
|
The Ashtanga Vinyasa style of yoga is vigorous, vibrant, and deeply rooted in tradition. We’ll explore the power of asanas in combination with the bandhas (energy locks within the body), energizing ujjayi breath, and drishti (visual focal points). |
Bellies, Backs & Bottoms Yoga:
|
BBB will focus on the center of our bodies. Beyond being a “core” class, BBB will aim to educate our minds on common dysfunctions that occur with aging and childbearing and reeducate our bodies on how we move. Perfect for anyone who feels that a general yoga class may be too demanding on their backs and for women who’s bellies (& bodies!) have “never been the same” since they gave birth.

Happy Hour Yoga:

This is an all levels yoga class designed to get your weekend started off right! Join us for a fun, light-hearted class and be prepared to smile! (No booze provided. ;)

Kundalini Yoga:
|
A yogic technology based on, and understanding, the natural science of the human body. It is the discipline of the power of awareness and how the nerves, glandular system, blood, muscles, and organs all work together.

Open Yoga:
|
Part of our yoga teacher training. Everyone welcome. This class will be different from week to week.

Power Yoga:
|
A quick paced flowing class filled with strong powerful movements and poses. Elevate your heart rate and your spirit! Some yoga experience is suggested.

Prenatal Yoga:
|
Prenatal yoga will focus on honoring and ritualizing this special time in our lives. Classes will focus on postures that relieve tension and help to maintain our strength. Meditations and reflections will assist us in connecting with ourselves and the baby growing inside us. This class is perfect for mothers and partners-to-be. It is a mindful practice with a peaceful, community focus.

Rejuvenation Yoga:
|
A slower paced class to sooth and restore with focus on the breath, deep stretches, releasing stress, and body alignment. Primarily practiced on the floor. All levels are welcome.

Slow Flow Yoga:
|
Truly meditation in motion…connecting poses through attention to breathing, alignment and mindfulness. Immerse yourself in a relaxing class that moves at a perfectly slower pace – allowing time to explore the strength, the balance and the softness that can happen in each pose. Class will include a seated and standing flow as well as pranayama (breathwork) and meditation. All levels are welcome.

Sunrise Yoga:

Get your day started off the best way possible! Join us for a fun, flowing class to energize the body and mind during this wonderful time of day! This class is one hour long.

Yoga Boot Camp:

Yoga Boot Camp is a great workout with all the benefits of yoga, breath control, stress reduction, flexibility and strength.

Yoga for Athletes:
|
A class filled with powerful moves meant to gain strength and flexibility for the sports and activities you enjoy. A challenging class that includes inversions, arm balances, and lots of strength! Some yoga experience suggested.

Yoga for Seasonal Athletes:
|
With a playground like Colorado, seasonal sports run ramped in the Front Range. Seasonal Athletes Yoga specifically targets, stretches, and strengthens muscle groups typically used (and neglected) in these activities as well as crafts physical and mental skills needed to excel in them. |
Yoga for Weight Loss & Toning:
|
A fun class filled with strong, yet simple movements meant to strengthen and tone the body. We practice poses to open chakras, inviting our bodies to loose weight. All levels welcome. (With weights includes a 4 lb. body bar.)

Effective January 1, 2009 Green Mountain Yoga has relaxed its punch card expiration policy slightly to allow our students more flexibility. Punch cards will still expire after six months but students will now be able to reactivate any unused classes by purchasing a new punch card. All new and old classes will then have a new expiration date of six months in the future. This policy encourages everyone to use their classes in a timely fashion and allows the GMY staff the ability to plan and budget for future classes. |

| Private Lessons: | |
Whilst there are many benefits to be gained from attending group yoga classes, an ideal way for many people to learn yoga and develop a personal practice for their individual needs is through private consultation and tuition. In a private yoga lesson, your individual needs will be discussed and assessed. From this, an individual practice of postures and breathing will be developed and taught; one that is appropriate for your particular needs. Individual needs to be considered might include general health, specific injuries or conditions, age, strength, flexibility, and life circumstances. Some of the reasons to consider private lessons:
