All Levels Yoga:

 

 

Classes designed for a wide range of ability levels. Good for nearly everyone, even beginners. These classes takes into consideration the needs and wants of the students who are in each class.

 

Bellies, Backs & Bottoms Yoga:

 

 

 

 

BBB will focus on the center of our bodies.  Beyond being a “core” class, BBB will aim to educate our minds on common dysfunctions that occur with aging and childbearing and reeducate our bodies on how we move.  Perfect for anyone who feels that a general yoga class may be too demanding on their backs and for women who’s bellies (& bodies!) have “never been the same” since they gave birth.
BBB may be just what you are looking for to reestablish strength, reintroduce movement and relearn living with (& maybe even loving) your body.

 

Fundamentals Yoga:

 

 

This class is designed for students seeking to learn and refine the fundamental yoga postures. Fundamentals is designed to teach students the basic skills and breathing techniques needed in the other classes. Students explore invigorating poses as well as calming restorative poses.

 

Happy Hour Yoga:

 

This is an all levels yoga class designed to get your weekend started off right! Join us for a fun, light-hearted class and be prepared to smile! (No booze provided. ;)

 

Kundalini Yoga:

 

 

A yogic technology based on, and understanding, the natural science of the human body. It is the discipline of the power of awareness and how the nerves, glandular system, blood, muscles, and organs all work together.

 

Open Yoga: Part of our yoga teacher training. Everyone welcome. This class will be different from week to week.

Power Yoga:

 

A quick paced flowing class filled with strong powerful movements and poses. Elevate your heart rate and your spirit! Some yoga experience is suggested.

 

Prenatal Yoga:

 

 

 

Prenatal yoga will focus on honoring and ritualizing this special time in our lives. Classes will focus on postures that relieve tension and help to maintain our strength.  Meditations and reflections will assist us in connecting with ourselves and the baby growing inside us. This class is perfect for mothers and partners-to-be.  It is a mindful practice with a peaceful, community focus.  This yoga class is taught by a physical therapist who specializes in treating women who are pregnant.

Rejuvenation Yoga:

 

A slower paced class to sooth and rejuvenate with focus on the breath, deep stretches, releasing stress, and body alignment. Primarily practiced on the floor. All levels are welcome.

 

Sunrise/AM Yoga:

 

Get your day started off the best way possible! Join us for a fun, flowing class to energize the body and mind during this wonderful time of day! This class is one hour long.

 

Yoga for Athletes:

 

A class filled with powerful moves meant to gain strength and flexibility for the sports and activities you enjoy. A challenging class that includes inversions, arm balances, and lots of strength! Some yoga experience suggested.

 

Yoga for Weight Loss & Toning:

 

A fun class filled with strong, yet simple movements meant to strengthen and tone the body. We practice poses to open chakras, inviting our bodies to loose weight. All levels welcome. (With weights includes a 4 lb. body bar.)

 

Attending Classes:

  • Outside view of Green Mountain YogaWear loose comfortable clothes that are easy to move in.
  • Allow at least 2 hours to pass after meals before practicing yoga.
  • We have mats, blankets, blocks, straps, bolsters, etc. available for your use.
  • All classes are 1 hour and 15 minutes (unless otherwise specified).
  • Bring water and a towel.
  • Inform your teacher of any injuries or health conditions.
  • Empty your bladder and bowels before class begins.
  • Have fun and smile!

Private Lessons:  

Whilst there are many benefits to be gained from attending group yoga classes, an ideal way for many people to learn yoga and develop a personal practice for their individual needs is through private consultation and tuition.Enjoy fabulous adjustments throughout your private lessons!

In a private yoga lesson, your individual needs will be discussed and assessed. From this, an individual practice of postures and breathing will be developed and taught; one that is appropriate for your particular needs. Individual needs to be considered might include general health, specific injuries or conditions, age, strength, flexibility, and life circumstances.

Some of the reasons to consider private lessons:

  • Privacy
  • Personal attention and tuition
  • Development of a personal practice for your individual needs
  • Specific therapeutic benefits for injury, illness, stress and emotional difficulties
  • Convenience of lesson times made by appointment

Private lessons may also include two or three people. A great way to learn with a partner or friend.
